Beacon Area

In response to the diocesan Growing in God project, in 2024 Beccles Parish successfully bid to become a Beacon Area. Beacon Areas are key areas around the diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich to engage with children, families and youth.

With our funding we been able to appoint Clare Ayers as our Children’s and Families Minister, who together with Kate Cracknel, our Youth and Young Adults minister, is now spearheading our Growing Younger efforts.
